Elena Vola

Ergoterapeuta

My name is Elena Vola, and I am an occupational therapist specializing in the pediatric and hand area.

I was born in a small town in Piedmont, Italy, and after my training in occupational therapy at the University of Pavia, in 2011 I decide to move to Switzerland to further my education in the field of pediatrics.

In the Canton of Ticino I have the opportunity in fact to take part in a research project conducted by an occupational therapy center that led me led me to specialize in the treatment of ADHD children and children on the autism spectrum with learning and behavioral disorders. È been a period where working in the field and putting into practice the different theories and scientific studies, I learned so much and was enriched professionally and humanly.

Having concluded this chapter of study and work, the opportunity opens up for me to delve into the field of the hand and upper limb: at first skeptical, after a trial period I then decide to throw myself into this new adventure discovering a world that I did not think I would be able to become so passionate about until I obtained my title at the ZAWH in Winterthur as a Swiss certified hand occupational therapist in 2019.

I have been in Chur since 2018 where I started working as a therapist of the hand at the Kornplatz practice.

In 2023 I started in parallel with this work, my activity as an independent pediatric occupational therapist at the Tivoli practice.
